Lucky basketball fan banks $20,000 after amazing shot during half-time show - and Jay-Z and Beyonce are there
One lucky basketball spectator enjoyed a night he will never forget as he banked $20,000 (£12,350) for a stunning half-court shot. And, if the life-changing cash prize wasn’t enough, the half-court hero Brad Brucker earned a hand shake from music superstar Jay Z, who was sat courtside with Beyonce.
The incident happened during half-time in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s NBA game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.
Whatsmore, the successful shot from half-court was the second in as many Thunder home games after Cameron Rodriguez also hit the $20,000 jackpot during Monday’s 115-113 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The Thunder claim they went 90 home games in 2008 and 2009 without one successful half-court basket. At this rate, though, they might want to consider another prize after paying out $40,000 in three days.
Kevin Durant led the scoring for Oklahoma City as they recorded their third straight win with a 105-91 victory at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Thunder, tipped by many to return to the NBA Finals after their defeat by the Miami Heat in 2012, improved to 8-3 this season and kept the pressure on Northwest division leaders the Portland Trail Blazers, who are on an impressive eight-game winning streak.
Blake Griffin scored 27 points in a losing effort for the 8-5 Clippers.
